V3Solar’s Executive President and CEO is an accomplished and seasoned veteran of technology companies, having taken numerous new technologies and ideas over the past 25 years from start-up through to commercialization and profitability, with many culminating in successful public listings on exchanges in the USA, Australia and UK and/or strategic trade sales. He founded Skai Computer Systems Pty Ltd in 1983, which he successfully managed until 1999 when he negotiated the sale of Skai to a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. At that time he became Chief Operating Officer for the Group and was instrumental in the listing of one of its subsidiaries on the American Stock Exchange and the ongoing planning and implementation of business and investment strategies. Michael was appointed to the board of a London Stock Exchange listed company in 2002 where he was actively involved in the planning and implementation of the restructuring of the company, its assets, including the sale of property in the UK and its re-listing onto the LSE AIM Board.
Christoph Karl La Due, ‘Chris’, is the inventor of V3Vortex technologies. He is an internationally recognized inventor with over 60 registered patents, many of which have been commercially developed and successfully deployed. Chris’ areas of expertise include theoretical and applied physics, telecommunications, symbolic structures in human and machine language constructs, fractal communication logic, system self-adaptation and continuum electro-mechanical systems. His patents contain hundreds of inventions that relate to communication systems, electro-mechanical protocols and systems, virtual communication network solutions, satellite and terrestrial telecommunications technology, artificial intelligence and virtual reality systems. Chris is dedicated to the development of new technological paradigms that relate to sustainable technologies, embedded electrical grid telecommunications, virtual reality systems as applied to network management, video game engines, novel forms of symbolic language coding for V3Solar’s Spin Cell power generation networks, and the like. Chris La Due always looks to nature for his creative inspiration. Though his concepts often challenge conventional thinking, he is anathema to theory (his name is LaDue, not LaThink). “If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t sell, and it doesn’t matter.” A link to a few of his patents: click here
Robert has over 20 years experience in building large, productive sales organizations. He was honored with the “Beyond War Award” by the United Nations during his time in the Peace Corps and was an Academic All American in both track and cross country at UCSB. In the early 90′s, he helped build “the fastest growing privately held company in the U.S.”, and he has been a C-level executive in the solar industry since 2005. During this time, he realized that for solar to reach mass market penetration the industry could not rely on government subsidies, and the key was lowering the cost, not promoting the cause. His search for a technological solution led him to V3Solar. Chris La Due happened to live 11 miles from his organic farm in Oregon -- sometimes we travel the world and find what we seek in our own backyard. Robert is also the founder of CREWfund.org, a nonprofit to fund ecopreneurs. “Our greatest renewable energy is the human spirit.”
Daniel brings over five years experience in managing financial analysis for leading corporations, banks and investors with a focus on large-scale projects and transactions. His analytical insights have been used successfully by many corporations to optimize the short and long-term performance and deliver stronger returns for stakeholders. Daniel holds both Accounting and Finance degrees from University of Monash in Australia and is a CFA charter holder. Prior to joining V3Solar, Daniel worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he was instrumental in the execution of large, middle market transactions and strategic business planning projects, with a focus on the energy markets. When he learned of V3Solar, he quickly grasped the massive market implications.
Bill Rever's role is to guide the company through to a full scale prototype that is ready for commercial production. His 30 years of experience in PV and his broad ranging expertise, make him uniquely qualified for this task. Bill began his career in Solar energy in 1982 with industry pioneer Solarex (inventor of the first poly-chrystalline cells), which eventually merged with and became part of BP Solar in 1999. Bill held a variety of roles within that company including applications engineering, project management, product management, marketing, business development and strategy. In his tenure with BP Solar and Solarex, Bill was involved in the production, marketing, and deployment of over 1 GW of PV in over 150 countries including many seminal applications, product innovations and projects. With 30 years of experience in PV he is frequently called on as an industry expert and has spoken at numerous conferences and events. Bill has a B.A. in Physics from the Johns Hopkins University, an M.S.E. in Energy Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). He is a board member and past President of the Maryland/DC/Virginia chapter of the Solar Energy Industries Association and a board member and former Co-Chairman of the PV Advisory Group of the North American Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI)..
Sofiaan comes from a diverse technical background with a passion for elegant embedded system design, both hardware and software. He has been a pioneer in his field for over 12 years. During his career, he has designed and developed custom electronics and firmware for a variety of systems including: ultra low power devices for the security industry, power management and data acquisition for the film industry used in movies such as Avatar, and most recently for human implantable medical devices with a major corporation. Sofiaan graduated valedictorian of his class from Monash University in Australia in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Systems, a discipline that combines electrical engineering with computer science. With an uncanny ability to solve problems in novel ways, he has a natural intuition and love for technology that produces end results efficiently and with the highest quality. He is excited to add his talents to the Spin Cell's elegant design.
